Tots Bots Royal Flush

To celebrate the birth of Prince George Tots Bots made 300 nappies in Teenyfit, Easyfit aplix and Easyfit popper in a limited edition print. The print has elements of the Cambridge coat of arms along with storks carrying a royal baby.

The limited edition nappies were only available on selected websites who had a very limited supply. The nappies sold out in minutes and I was lucky enough and fast enough to buy an Easyfit aplix.

The nappy arrived today and I love it

Gwen's Trip To School

Gwen had two taster sessions in what will be her reception class come September in the last week.

Her first visit we ended up staying with her as she wasn't sure about it. Gwen didn't attend play school as potty training was a very slow process with her and we didn't want to push her and end up with more problems.

She loved playing with all the activities they had set out. She did a couple of paintings, played in the sand and water trays, looked around the bug area for plastic bugs with a magnifying glass, had fun in the wooden play house and played in the pretend shop.

She wasn't keen to join in with carpet time and decided to have a Daddy hug instead. Wwe had tears upon leaving and she couldn't wait to go back again.

Gwen's second visit they did things a little differently. Instead of us taking them in to the classroom the teachers came to the office area and collected all the children so us parents were able to go home or stay and have tea/coffee and cake in a classroom upstairs. I opted for the tea and cake.

Gwen went with the teachers and there were no tears and I was told she was fine the whole time and even quite chatty about things she was doing.

We're feeling very positive about her starting in September.

Fathers Day

We don't tend to go overboard when it comes to Fathers or Mothers day. We buy cards and maybe a few little gifts.

This year was no different but I tried to get cute but useful things for Darren from the children.

Jorja made a card

A teddy because it was cute

A new mug because you can never have too many mugs

Chocolate because well everyone loves chocolate

A pen because our pens are always going walkies

I think Darren enjoyed today and he got a cup of tea made by Cerys.

Gwen's 4th Birthday

Today Gwen turned 4. She'll be starting school soon, eeek!

Gwen is rather mad on Peppa Pig so her birthday was full of it. We bought a Peppa Pig cake and Peppa Pig presents.

She loved today. We had Kellan wanting all of her toys as he adores Peppa Pig too but luckily we have quite a few Peppa toys so they could share without too many fights.

Celebration Morning

Today the primary school held their first celebration morning to celebrate the pupils who are doing well with their work and pupils who are kind to others.

Jorja was invited to the celebration morning for year 2 for social empathy. She's been noted by her teacher for being kind to others, always smiling and being helpful.

Each class had two pupils invited and each child was awarded a certificate and a book token.

The parents got to see their best work whilst tea/coffee and cakes were served.

The morning was lovely and I felt extremely proud of Jorja and hearing how lovely she is when at school by her teacher and head teacher.

Cerys' 12th Birthday

Cerys turned 12 today, quite hard to believe she's that old already!

Cerys and I went shopping yesterday for clothes as Cerys didn't want anything else for her birthday. We bought most of her clothes from Asda and a pair of jeans from H&M.

We also bought her birthday cake which had to be a chocolate cake. Normally I make the birthday cakes but she didn't want me to this year.

Here are some photo's from today.

Playing In The Park

On Monday, after a trip to our local Morrisons store, we made a last minute decision to stop off at a park we've not been to before. We had a little something to eat and drink whilst there and Gwen and Kellan got to have fun playing on everything.

There was an array of equipment to play on. The toddler area had a hut to sit in that bridged on to a small slide.

Beyond the toddler's area there were swings, a larger slide, a musical area, rocking boat, roundabout with wheelchair access, a climbing area, see saw and a few other things to play on.

Gwen and Kellan loved the park so much that we had tears from both of them when leaving. Kellan loved the freedom of just walking about and exploring the play things and Gwen loved the toddler slide and and rocking horse. It's a park we'll have to go back to as our local parks aren't quite so toddler friendly.
